Standards EvidenceMy artwork is original because the rocks are meant to look like members of my family and my friends. My artwork expresses the same way that the Native American artist’s work expresses their cultural identity and values because I tried to show what people that are important to me look like. Even though they don't look like weirdly shaped, bumpy, lumpy rocks. My artwork is me, my family, and my friends as rocks. But I couldn't find very many good rocks so my Dad's body looks like a cucumber and my older sister's body looks like a square and my body looks really...weird. And Hayden's head has a lump on the back so his head doesn't lay flat. I painted the rocks like what we wear or favorite color. My Dad is in a button down green shirt(he wears those a lot), my Mom is wearing teal(her favorite color), my older sister is wearing black(she's going to school to be a cosmetologist), my brother is wearing green(he was wearing green in a picture and he always used to wear that shirt), I'm wearing a white hoodie(I have a GAP hoodie that I wear a lot), my younger sister is wearing red(her favorite color), Kaleah is wearing a blue outfit(she wears a lot of different things), and Hayden is wearing a cream shirt with a blue thing over it(once he said he was going to put the blue thing on because it was comfy). I made my artwork by picking out some rocks from outside, then I painted them, let them dry, and then painted them more, and so on. I was inspired to do this because I like painting rocks. My goal for this artwork was to try to show my family in a unique way and I guess I did that. I think my artwork is okay. It's not AMAZING! But it's fine. I think I accomplished my goal.

Artist: Thierry Noir and Stik Title: Village Underground Wall Date: ? Medium: Paint Location: London (There wasn't a lot of information so it might be wrong.) I picked this artwork because it has simple shapes. I like the white guy a lot. He's really cute. I've never seen this artwork before. I do not recognize the artist. I don't know what this artwork is about. I think the artist created this artwork to show that you don't need a bunch of fancy materials and you can just use what you have around. I think this artwork is successful. The design has very bold colors that stand out and defined shapes and outlines. The craftsmanship is also very good because the coats of paint are very even. The three primary colors are red, yellow, and blue, and those colors can be mixed to create secondary colors, aka orange, green, and purple. Yellow is at the top of the color wheel because it is the lightest and the brightest. I had the hardest time finding orange items. I made a larger color wheel but I didn't get a good picture of that. I really wish I got a better picture because it looks less sad. I also tried taking a picture of the bigger color wheel with my camera but my camera froze. My favorite item in the color wheel was either the Cricut cartridges or the paper clip container in the red section. My Mom's favorite item in the color wheel was the boxes of Jello. The object in Mrs. Underhill's color wheel that stood out to me the most was the yellow smiley face in the yellow section(no, I thought it was in the green section). It stood out to me because it is just sitting there looking at you with that cute little face. I also really like the tiny Hungry Hungry Hippos in the red section.
I picked Trashion for my Earth Day art. Instead of a person, I used some old Barbie dolls. I used plastic grocery bags for my material. I wanted to make one girl with long sleeves but I will do that next. So far I made 2 wedding dresses since I really like "designing" wedding dresses. But since I made 2 of them my younger sister(Ellie) gave me the idea to make them bridesmaids. So I'll make the bride have long sleeves so she stands out more. I also made a flower girl dress. I made some flowers by rolling up scraps of plastic bags and wrapping them in a wrapper. But I lost the flowers and I don't think I have a picture of them. I like how simple the dresses look. I made one more but I couldn't think of an idea so my Mom helped me think of that dress. I thought I had more pictures but I don't know what happened. Art can be used to raise awareness of environmental issues if the artist uses items that are normally wasted to create a unique artwork.
At first I was going to draw a picture of my friends together at a band competition. But then Hayden's face was too complex. And so was his hair. So I drew a picture of him with a hat on. I was also thinking of drawing a picture of myself where I had a basket on my head and gloves on my feet and other goofy things but I really wanted to draw my friends. I decided to draw funny pictures of them because we are all SILLY GOOFBALLS! I drew them in a cartoon style because I can't draw realistic. I sent pictures to my friends asking for suggestions and Kaleah said Robert Downey Jr. *Sigh* I got feedback from my family members and one suggestion was to make Kaleah's lips bigger. So I did. I had a really hard time drawing Hayden's hand. I kept drawing it too big and the fingers too close together. So I finally figured out a way to make them look slightly normal. They turned out better than I expected, so that's good. Wait... Now that I look at them side by side Kaleah's bun is too bulgy and Hayden is tilted too much. If you look at them separate they look a little alike.
I am drawing my friends for this artwork. I am looking at pictures of them and drawing them in a cartoon style because I can't draw realistic at all. I am drawing them with pencil and using that as a material limitation. I was going to draw them using a picture of them together at a band competition as a reference but Hayden was making a face that was impossible to recreate😂 Also, Hayden's haircut is complicated to draw, so I drew the picture of him in a hat. I drew Kaleah and I started drawing her pupils and they looked really creepy so I took a picture:) So far my artwork is going okay.
I play board games with my younger sister and my mom. My younger sister and I watch videos and play games. I get to play with my cats and dogs, too. I email my friends and we've also video called. But only once😧 My friends are silly goofballs!!!😹 I do have a bunch of pictures of them on my wall so if I ever miss them/their faces😹 I can just look at my wall. We can't visit my Grandpa anymore in the nursing home so we have to call and ask them to give him the phone so we can talk to him through the window. Churches had to be locked and there is no more Mass, Adoration, Confession, Stations of the Cross, or just going in there to pray. We watch it on YouTube and receive the Eucharist spiritually. I really hope this is over soon and we can get back to our normal lives.
My artwork is going to be a Minecraft landscape. I'm going to give it to my friend who likes playing Minecraft. He plays Minecraft on his YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd8pCOGuFmOSOtTYnefjwIA/videos I feel like if I give it to him he'll be like, "This is NOT what Minecraft looks like." Then I would just roll my eyes. He corrects me a lot. I am going to paint the sky blue and the grass green(no duh) and paint some clouds in the sky and then I'll add some trees. I want it to look like a simple landscape because I tried adding the mountains and it didn't look right. It is easier to paint the closer tree without the stamp and the farther away one with the stamp. But I realized last night that I could've used the stamp to make 4x4 squares and smoothed it out and it would've looked normal. I also added a beehive and I'm going to add bees because on Minecraft he has a bee farm. I am excited to paint the bees BEEcause they are ADORABLE! Yeah, I agree. It isn't PUNny. Standards EvidenceI looked at Wayne Thiebaud's artwork of three ice cream cones. He drew three ice cream cones so I drew my doll three times and drew her in her three different outfits. I used markers for my artwork so the colors would be nice and vibrant. I haven't used the permanent markers to color one of my artworks yet and they worked really well. Artist StatementMy artwork is a drawing of my wooden dress up doll. I got her from my Grandma when I was 3 or 4 years old. She has three outfits and I drew her in each one. First I traced my doll three times and then traced her outfits on each one because I wanted it to look like the same size and shape as the doll. Then I sketched in the detail on each doll. Then I made the lines cleaner and carefully colored them in. I made her eyes by setting the doll on top of the paper where I drew the doll and made a line going both ways from the middle of the eye. Then I made an oval around the spot where the lines met. I made her eyes different in the drawing than they are on the doll because when I tried to draw her eyes the same as the doll it looked weird. I decided to draw the doll because she was really cute and I've had her forever. I wanted to represent the doll as closely as possible. I am most proud of the red, white, and blue outfit.
My artwork is going to be a wooden dress up doll that I got from my grandma when I was younger. Wayne Thiebaud made an artwork of three ice cream cones and I am going to make my artwork of my doll but I am going to make her in each of her outfits. I found three of her outfits. There is a rollerblading outfit, a sunshine outfit, and a red, white, and blue outfit. I am going to trace her three times on the paper and then draw the details like her eyes, her hair, her outfit, her noe, and her smile. I am probably going to use colored pencils to color it. My first plan was to draw her opposite and put it on cardboard and make her felt outfits so the one I have could have a friend. I was going to make her have a darker skin tone, brown eyes, dark brown hair, a pink bow, and a moon theme instead of a sunshine theme, but I decided to do the repeating doll instead.
