My favorite artwork this semester was the one with the sheep looking at the sky. I titled it "Do you See what I See". I want to make more like that one. One artwork I would like to redo is either the Identity artwork or The Object artwork. Neither of them turned out how I wanted, but I still have hope for the Identity artwork. I think I just need to paint on more layers. I learned that you need to have a solid plan before starting something. With the Landscape artwork, I changed my idea at least 3 times before I got it right. I wish I could've painted more things like in my Landscape artwork. Maybe one time in future art classes I could paint something that has to do with Psych. It's a really good show.

I chose to do mosaic of 3 brawler pins, Spike, Shelly, and Colt. I have small plastic dome beads that I got at a garage sale. They only costed 50 cents! I'm going to lay them all out and stick them down onto the images but first I'll glue the images down onto a piece of poster board and cut them out. I'll paint the beads after I stick them on.
I decided to do something with Brawl Stars. I'm thinking of doing a mosaic but I don't know how. I have some clear plastic dome beads I could glue down as tiles. I will print out the pictures to clue the beads down and maybe use a piece of cardboard or something as a base. I will paint them with nail polish so they are shiny. I will make mosaics of their pins(emojis). There are lines around the pins I will do. I wanted to do Max or Penny but Penny has too many details and Max is wearing a helmet thing with transparent/blue goggle thingies. I am Developing craft because I'm using the clear dome beads, which I've never used before. I am engaging and persisting because I'm going to need to make the eyelashes, smiles, and Colt's chin X thing. I think Spike is going to be the easiest.
Artwork Title: Do You See What I See? My artwork is a lamb looking at the sky and a lot of cartoon looking wind blowing. There is a big star in the sky(which is actually what the lamb is looking at). I made my artwork using paint, paint pens, and glitter(huge mess, it was all over my hands and phone). My artwork is based on the song "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Bing Crosby. It is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Right at the beginning of the song, the lyrics are: Do you hear what I hear? Said the night wind to the little lamb Do you see what I see? Way up in the sky, little lamb Do you see what I see? A star, a star, dancing in the night With a tail as big as a kite With a tail as big as a kite I wanted to make these lyrics into an artwork. I didn't know how to paint the wind at first, then I decided to just send it. So in my artwork, I have the night wind, the little lamb, and the star. I really, really, really like my artwork. My Mom suggested adding glitter and I think it helped so much. It's so sparkly! I mixed a lot of colors of glitter to get the green and blue. In the future, I would like to make artworks based on the other lyrics. Process PhotosSome of them are sideways and it really bugs me. Final Photo:2 studio habits I'm working on for this artwork are observe and develop craft. I observed when I looked up what the wise men looked like. I am developing craft because I'm going to try to paint and use colored pencils. I'm thinking of painting the background and then drawing all the people and coloring them, then cutting them out and gluing them in.
Painting Boot CampI think I'm going to use acrylic paint for my artwork. I also want to buy a large poster board to paint on. But I think I have one around my house somewhere. I don't want to have to make it too small because it would be really hard to paint in all the small details. So I'm planning on working with a larger surface. LandscapeI want to do a Brawl Stars themed artwork. I'm thinking of doing either Spike among his fellow cacti friends or the brawlers skating. I really want to do the skating one but I don't know if I can put people in my landscape artwork or not. I hope I can. I'll try painting it but I'm not a very good painter. Bonus Pictures of KittiesMy artwork is of a little heart charm. It has the 10 commandments written down for the background. The 10 commandments are written in the background because when you look inside of the charm you can see the 10 commandments. I used paper, pencil, and a permanent marker to create my artwork. I was inspired to make this artwork because the charm is from my Grandma, and it was hers when she was a little girl. My goal for this artwork was to create it in a cartoony version of the charm. I don't like my final artwork. I kept trying to make it better but it just got worse. Sorry, some of the images are sideways. The heart charm is my favorite part of the artwork. The words got kinda sloppy. Maybe I can print out all those words and cut out the heart charm and then glue it over the words.
A thinking drawing is where he tries out a bunch of different ways to arrange his drawings. He decides which one is best and uses that idea. He tests out different colors and arrangements. I think he separated the tie on the right because it balances it out instead of them all hanging in a clump. The tie on the right has more colors in it and it looks more fun so that might be another reason. I did the landscape 10-20 minute drawing.
I am focusing on Express and Observe for this artwork. I was observing when I looked inside the charm to see the writing on the inside(it took me forever to get some decent pictures). I am expressing because I really like that in the charm it has the Ten Commandments, which are really important to me because I value my faith. And it was my Grandma's when she was a little girl, so that's really important to me as well.
This week I've been learning different techniques for different materials. I've tried out pencil, colored pencil, and eraser drawings. I'm planning on using marker next. I drew a lego and an eraser with pencil. I worked on shading and blending with colored pencils. I also tried stippling, hatching, cross-hatching, patches, random strokes, and different pressures. The video I watched for blending was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbD7xf4tHwk
